I am happy to announce that our Monterey Challenge race was a great success.  This is attributed to the fine group of volunteers that worked tirelessly on race day and several days before.

I want to especially thank the Moore family. Kim and Steve went way beyond necessary, making my job much easier. Kim's parents, who live in Carmel Valley, allowed us to stay at their residence on our time off, saving the cost of hotels, thereby saving a considerable amount of money for the Wounded Warriers charity.  We also have Doug Kamholz, who provided his beautiful Toy Hauler to be used in the paddock area as our office and then offering a place for the rest of the staff to sleep in the evenings, again providing the ability for even more funds to the Wounded Warriers.

All in all, I had 17 hard working volunteers making this event a success beyond belief.  Monday after our event, I received kudos from Laguna Seca, thanking my staff and me for all our hard work, resulting in a trouble-free racing event.

We must never forget the racers and their helpers.  They all acted like the true professionals that they are!!  Realizing the importance of professionalism at the MotoGP, every competitor in our race performed in the manner I had expected.  I am truly proud of each and every one!

I thank you all and would be proud if each and every one of you will join me again next year for an even bigger and better event.
